Lee Loomes 2010-04-18 | Mango Village, Lamai Beach The local people that worked at the hotel were great but the owners were extremely laid back. We spoke to the owners about the lack of power being dangerous but they just shrugged. We had several power cuts which made the hotel grounds dangerous because of the number of steps and also made it difficult to sleep without air conditioning. Although the hotel had a lovely massage station on the beach this was being renovated and so were unable to have any massages. The hotel was in a nice location but wasn t great.
Michelle Groves 2010-04-18 | Mango Village, Lamai Beach I absolutely loved the place and will definitely be back in the future. The airline had lost my luggage for 4 days - the receptionist at Mango was so helpful taking phone messages and ringing the lost and found for me. She was superb! | easy! |
Mr Nick Campbell 2009-07-11 | Mango Village, Lamai Beach Superb family run resort. Nicely out of the way from all the noise but still close enough to get to Lamai for food and drinks. Restaurant at resort is nice, food quality is high and happy to stay open for drinks until late. Overall staff service is excellent, friendly and not overbearing, just right. Great rooms, lovely garden and pool and nice quiet private beach although sea isn t best for swimming in this area as too rocky. Would definitely stay here again. Recommended. | Booking service is smooth and quick. Could do with being able to have more flexible options on booking to arrange transfers. Only option is pick up from airport and no option for pickup from hotel. |
Jean Francois Lesade 2009-04-17 | Mango Village, Lamai Beach Super! Chambre spacieuse et agréable. Tres propre. |
Alexey Klyashtorin 2009-01-02 | Mango Village, Lamai Beach A nice resort managed by Italians, located 5 min of Lamai beach. Me, my wife, and 4 years old Timothy spent there 2 great weeks from Dec 25, 08 to Jan 7, 09. The place is very quite; the territory is well maintained and full of flowers and shrub. Nice hyla frogs are singing in two small ponds in the nighttime - we were amused trying to find them...:) The swimming pool is large, clean, and safe for children. Bungalows are maintained daily. We had a small problem with shower that was immediately repaired when we reported it. The staff was absolutely great – friendly and helpful in everything. Stream Web access is provided with two PCs, WiFi is also available. The beach is clean and large enough. The sea, however, is rather shallow and swimming may be problematic when tide is out. No problem at all when tide is in. I would highly recommend this resort to families with small children. Alexey (Alex0560@ya.ru) | No problems at all. Quick and accurate. |
Cornelia Weil 2008-07-11 | Mango Village, Lamai Beach We stayed at Mango Village for 12 days with our 3 children. We occupied 2 beachfront rooms, which were next to each other but not interconnecting. We had to climb on the balcony or to go downstairs in order to get to the other room. We cannot recommend this hotel for a family with children, because there are lots of steps to climb from the beach to the pool and, due to the tides, the water in the sea can be very low with lots of rocks, so that swimming is impossible. If you are looking for privacy and a magnificent garden, it´s the right choice. The food there was o.k. (Italian and Thai food), but we missed a breakfast buffet. Staff was friendly in the restaurant, but the receptionist was not so good. We checked out earlier due to a construction going on(they knocked down a building right next door) and we asked for compensation, but the manager and the receptionist ignored us. So in the end we contacted Sawadee and they helped us to move to Grand Thai House, a really good hotel. | Great help when we moved hotels. |
Kormann Sandra 2008-06-01 until 2008-06-06 | Mango Village, Lamai Beach We stay only for 4 days in this hotel, the staff is great, food excellent unfortunately even we have a room in front of the sea it was impossible to swim. Bigs and rocks on the sea and the water was not clean. Our room was clean just we didn t have hot shower and we didn t receive any instruction about the boiler (hot water). No telephon in the room...and nobody in the hotel when we come back after 11 PM. The water of the swimming pool was very too hot !! The hotel is located AFTER LAMAI beach so too far from Chaweng and LAMAI beach in low season the taxis are very expensive...

Herzlichen Dank. | OK |
